Arlo Wire-Free HD Security Camera Review

Arlo Security Camera

As a working mom, I do worry about my home security which is why I was very interested in reviewing  the Arlo Wire-Free HD Security Camera to find out if its’ many features  would provide some peace of mind while I am at the office.

7 Reasons Why I like the Arlo Wire-Free HD Security Camera

1. The camera is Completely Wire-Free.  I know most of you with homes probably don’t care about this but I hate wires. If you saw my television or computer area, you would be laughing at all the wires that are here, there and everywhere. The last thing I need is having another wire going from a security camera to its’ base. So how does the  Security Camera work? The cameras are battery and wi-fi operated which means you can position these cameras anywhere.  Woohoo!!

2. The camera is  waterproof. Again I live in an apartment so I don’t need a camera to watch the outside of my house but this a feature that homeowners will like being able to watch who is coming and going.

3. Small size – Look how small it is so you can hide it  and actually move it here, there and everywhere.

4. The camera offers a motion-activated recording option. Fantastic feature since it saves you battery life and storage space. Most importantly this offers the owner a visual proof of unwelcome guests (let’s hope that never happens, right.)

5.  Remote access: Want to check your home from your smartphone, tablet, or computer? Check!  I love that you can connect up to 15 Arlo cameras to the cloud for easy, all-in-one check-ins with easy to schedule feature so you can determine which cameras are to be on and when – all  from the arlo app.

I uploaded the app to my iPhone, my iPad and my desktop.  The below pictures are of my living room area. And you can also name each camera (which I haven’t done yet) so you can keep track.

6. Easy Set Up – You just have to download the Arlo iOS app or Android app to monitor and manage your home security.

7. I can check up on my teenage daughter.  I pretty much know where my daughter is during the day as well as after school. That said, once in a while, I have given permission for her friends to come over after school to do their homework.  Do they always do their homework? Most times  but they do play a lot of xBox. And frankly,  I do not allow boys in my home unless I am there. Period!!  So yes, call me a helicopter parent, a phrase I am proud to be called. Again it’s all about my peace of mind.

Do I recommend the Arlo Wire-Free HD Security Cameras? Yes! As a single mom, I really do like the idea of being able to monitor my home (and daughter) whether I am at the office or when I am away from on business. Plus, the easy set up and that  the camera wire-free  allows me the freedom to pick it up and move it where ever I want,  when I want.
