Even though kids will be heading Back To School in just a few short weeks away (scary, right!), I was still thrilled to attend the Momtrends Back to School event held for Editors and Bloggers showcasing lifestyle brands held Freshmade NYC.
Ebates
I was one of a group of bloggers (Gina of Mommy Posh, Jenna of Lunch Pails & Lipstick and Nancy of The Mama Maven) who showcased our purchases made through Ebates, an online cash back shopping site. We all chose a different store but Ebates line up of well-known stores includes Nordstrom, Amazon, Lord & Taylor, Old Navy and so many more. Click here to read my review of Ebates.

My Mini-Makeover from Avon
I received a mini-makeover from the Avon makeup artist who provided attendees with 2 tips for moms to go from day to night. He mentioned that 1) always have an eyeliner on hand and 2) throw a couple of different lipsticks in your bag so you can go from day to night in a jiff. visit avon.com for more information.
Get Organized with Office Candy
Office Candy is an online boutique of office supplies for women who want to be stylish and organized in their office and offers a wide range of products including binders, file totes, folders, clipboards and more. Of course, I think their products make great gift ideas to help friends get more organized in a fun and trendy way. There is no reason that our offices have to be so boring. Visit officecandy.com to view their entire line of products

Freshmade NYC
Cara Buffalino-Silman and Thomas Stevens, founder of Freshmade NYC, a cooking school for kids and adults provided tips on cooking with kids and serving your kids healthier meals. Suggestions included having your children involved in planning and cooking the meal, giving them real food snacks, and serving them flavored fruit waters instead of juice (this was my favorite idea).
During the event, attendees were able enjoy treats from Magnum Ice Cream, Funny Face Cranberries (their oatmeal cranberry cookies were amazingly delicious) and Freshmade NYC. In addition, we previewed back to school fashions from Appaman and Stella McCartney that focused on stripes and bright colors for the fall.
Disclosure: NYC Single Mom received a gift bag at the event and was not otherwise compensated. Opinions are 100% my own.
