McDonald’s Premium Salads Offers a Light and Refreshing Meal #McDonaldsQuality #IC ad @McDNYTristate

This post was sponsored by McDonald’s as part of an Ambassador Program for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Salads, I actually like salads. Shocking!! During the week, I have salads pretty much every day for lunch. So now that it’s summer, I enjoy McDonald’s Premium Salads for dinner because it offers a lighter meal  at night when it’s so hot.

Did you know that in recent years, McDonald’s has changed how they source, prepare and evolve its food? This has resulted in impacting nearly half of the items on its national menu. These changes make a difference to me especially when it comes to their salad offering.  McDonald’s has replaced iceberg lettuce with fresh romaine, baby spinach, baby kale, Tuscan red leaf lettuce and ribbon-cut carrot curls plus. Plus their premium salads offer at least 2.5 cups of vegetables.

McDonald’s Salads offer two choices – Bacon Ranch or Southwest Salad which you can choose either Buttermilk Crispy Chicken or Grilled Chicken. The Buttermilk Crispy Chicken is made with 100% chicken breast filet, real buttermilk and a blend of spices including black pepper, garlic and onion powder.

On a recent trip to McDonald’s, I opted for the Southwest Salad made with chopped romaine, baby spinach, baby kale, red leaf lettuce and ribbon cut carrot topped with artisan grilled chicken.

The southwest salad  is layered black beans, roasted corn and tomatoes, and poblano peppers and sprinkled with cheddar and jack cheeses, chili-lime tortilla strips and cilantro. It also comes with a lime wedge which combined  Newman’s Own Southwest dressing really provided a delicious tasting meal.

My daughter thought it looked yummy and insisted on trying the salad. Her teen opinion, definitely delicious.

On our next trip, I plan to order an additional salad to go along with her usual chicken nuggets (which have no artificial preservatives and are made with chicken not treated with antibiotics important to human medicine*)  and fries order. She is more of a fruit eater so anytime I can get her to eat veggies is a win in my book.

And just a reminder to  download the McDonald’s mobile app so you don’t miss out on their exclusive deals and promotions. We were able to free drink with our meal on this trip.

The salads look delicious. I like that you can choose between Buttermilk Crispy Chicken or Grilled Chicken for the salad.
