A Fun Look Back at 2013

2013 has been filled with a slew of highs, lows and fun-filled unexpected moments. I think the highlight of the year should be titled Family Reunion. My sister and I reconnected. She has lived in Atlanta for many years and moved back to the Northeast. We were able to meet up in Washington, D.C. which was a great place to connect and see the city at the same time.

Surprising my 80 year old aunt on her birthday which was spurred my California cousin who somehow got all the cousins together which was great for my daughter and me. And that my daughter went on her first family trip to Disney World with cousins was such an unexpected highlight of the year. We don’t have family here in the area so I am always happy when she gets to spend time with family especially her cousins.

 Accomplishments 

My daughter turned 10 – Woo hoo which turned into a lot of firsts:

First Trip to American Girl Cafe

First Concert to See Taylor Swift

 

My accomplishments included losing 15 pounds (and gaining back 5), living a healthier lifestyle, surviving going back to work full time and still maintaining my blog and the biggie being able to take my daughter to Paris and London (two cities I love) after talking about it for years.
