Don’t Miss the Amazing Burgers and Insane Milkshakes at The Shake and Burger Bar

July 24, 2018 by NYCSingleMom Filed Under: Food and Drink

The Shake and Burger Bar is located and offers foodies a 3,400 square foot modern space to enjoy gourmet burgers, delicious specialty milkshakes and for beer aficionados, craft beers. And for those who like a little something in their milkshakes, they even serve menu alcohol-infused specialty milkshakes.

Families will like the Shake and Burger Bar because of their kid/teen friendly menu, but if you are a sports fan, this is a great place to watch the game since the hub has a 60-foot center bar, where fans can congregate, watch the games on column-mounted screens.

Another blogger Onica Cupido from the Mommy Factor, her son and I had the opportunity to enjoy a meal at The Shake and Burger bar located in Kips Bay. I enjoyed a wide range of items from the menu.

Appetizers

Do not pass up the Honey BBQ wings which were the perfect blend of sweet but not too sweet BBQ sauce. You don’t even really need the blue cheese dressing, they are perfect on their own. And if you love mac and cheese, they make an excellent Truffle Mac & Cheese that is topped with breadcrumbs. Th truffle cheese sauce was made to perfection, not too cheesy but cheesy enough so the flavor was mouthwatering and the infusion of truffles made it extra special.  Don’t want to order the appetizer, go for the Truffle Mac & Cheese Burger topped with applewood smoked bacon on a pretzel bun. Don’t worry, there are salad options on the menu that you can share as an appetizer.

Burgers, Burgers and More Speciality Burgers.

While diners can choose to Build-Your-Burger that is made with a special house blend of brisket, hanger steak, short rib & prime chuck, I opted for the Surf N Turf burger which is deliciously topped with lobster and homemade cheese sauce served on a charcoal bun. And I couldn’t resist the cheese fries. I also had a taste of the sweet potato fries which were equally delicious!

No matter your taste, there is a burger just for you. So many to choose from, I suggest you order different ones and share with your fellow diners. There is a  Caribbean Burger, a half pound burger topped with cheddar, fried queso blanc, fried egg and pickled red onion served on a plantain bun; the Black N Blue Burger, a half-pound blackened burger topped with crumbled blue cheese, Applewood smoked bacon and Cajun aioli served on a black bun, and so many more burger choices.

Not in the mood for a burger, the menu includes wraps and salads.

Insane shakes are just that INSANE

You can not eat at the Shake and Burger bar without ordering one of their insane milkshakes.

I ordered the ROWDY RED VELVET MILKSHAKE  and it was as DELICIOUS  as it looks!

The shake included Red velvet ice cream topped with red velvet cake, chocolate, red sprinkles, red Oreo, and whipped cream. Is it as delectable as it appears – YES!!!  It is as big as it looks  – YES!! It is worth every dollar which is $15.00. Now that all said, I would recommend sharing one with your dining partner or just enjoying a shake as dessert treat!!

Insane Shake selection includes The Salty Nut, a chocolate ice cream; Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup shake topped with peanut butter cake, chocolate covered pretzels, salty pretzel sticks, peanut butter cookie and sprinkles; The Oreo Brownie, a vanilla ice cream and Oreo shake topped with cookie dough, chocolate syrup, marshmallow, M&M’s, Rice Krispie Treat, Oreo cookies and sprinkles; and the Junior’s Cheesecake Raspberry Milkshake, a vanilla ice cream shake topped with Junior’s Cheesecake, raspberry sauce, graham crackers, red sprinkles and fresh whipped cream.

Want a “kick” in your milkshake, there are three “insane drunken” shakes that are available, the signature being the Fireball Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shake, a vanilla ice cream shake with a shot of Fireball and RumChata mixed in with Cinnamon Toast crunch, topped with a cinnamon bun, churro and drizzled with vanilla frosting. Prices range from $7.50 to $17.

I definitely recommend heading to the Shake and Burger Bar whether you are a family looking for a family-friendly atmosphere for an amazing selection of burgers and milkshakes selection, couple looking for an after-dinner treat, sports fans looking for a sports bar to watch a game for the entire menu especially an appetizer selection and the craft beers.

I can’t wait to go back to treat my daughter to a yummy burger and to try one of their insane milkshakes.

Finally, because there are so many delicious menu items definitely be prepared to partake in the appetizers and take home half your burger to have for lunch the next day (so yummy the next day.)  And do not miss the insane milkshakes, and share, share, share!
