Disney Zootopia Movie Review
I have been excited to see the Disney Zootopia movie since my interview with Zootopia Directors Byron Howard and Rich Moore.
What I loved about the movie is that it really is different from other animated animal movies. Zootopia is comprised of 5 habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown. The movie’s heroine is Officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) who arrives in Zootopia all optimistic and full of hope as the first bunny on a police force. She thinks she will be making a difference but it’s not easy for a little bunny in city full of big, tough animals.
Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery.
It’s hard to miss the don’t believe in stereotype messages such as “the weak and cute bunny, the sly fox” as well as how childhood bullying incidents have an impact on how you behave as an adult. Nick Wilde, the fox was bullied and embarrassed when he was young by his scout troop and from then only he could only see himself as the wily fox.
Of course, it goes without saying that the attention to detail of the film makers is so Disney. Cach animal was drawn taking into consideration their height, weight, how they walk and run. This comes across in the film. And I just love the humor that both kids and adults will get. Just perfectly written. Finally, the look of the movie is gorgeous.
I recommend this movie highly for the entire family because it is an amazing and uplifting story, funny and has stunning animation.

This movie blew my mind. I absolutely loved it. A beautiful topic for adults to understand and kids to enjoy. Something we should really think about on how we treat people.
I loved it as well, Disney went it hits the right note really blows me away. I think its one of the movies for kids that when they rewatch when they are older will be blown away. As an adult totally agree about the message of thinking about how we treat people is super important.
