Take the time to go see Star Trek. For once the hype exceeds my expectations. J.J. Abrams earns his paycheck in rebooting this franchise. You don’t have to be a trekkie to like this movie because if you are I am sure you will find fault with a lot of it because even though I am fan and have seen most of the movies, I am looking at it with a fresh perspective and in isolation of the others that came before it. a=
At the end of the day, I am looking for an entertaining summer blockbuster and it truly delivers.
It has it all from start to finish: action, a good looking cast, a good storyline, great special effects, humor, a little gravitas from Leonard Nimoy, a little sexy romance (won’t ruin it for you but trailers are deceiving as to who the romantic leads are) and the acting is not bad.
Not since Lord of the Rings is a movie worth sitting for two hours and worth seeing again.
Don’t say this often but I am planning to go see it again but in IMAX.
