December 24, 2009 – Decided to bake cookies for Santa’s arrival tonight.
This is what the cookies were supposed to look like and…
Well, it’s the thought that counts and that my daughter and I did these together as a family.
For all the bakers, cake, cookie and cupcake decorators, you are my heroines and I salute you, seriously. Goodness, it’s hard to decorate cookies.
And by the way, I used store bought sugar cookie mix and icing. The cookies taste great and the icing, yuck.
Note to self, buy proper utensils to decorate with, practice, practice and make the sugar cookies from scratch.
Santa will love those cookies – they have great character and were made with lots of love. Merry Christmas!

I prepare the simple icing: very good beaten egg's whites, then 5-6 drops of lemon juice. After I add powdered sugar and beat it again till picks. If icing is too thick I add couple drops of water and mix it again.
They still look good! I'd eat 'em..I can't now. My new yeras resolution is to loose ten pounds!
