I am the Mother of Middle Schooler (YIKES!) #parenting

September 15, 2014 by NYCSingleMom Filed Under: Single Mom Daily Life

It’s been a few days but I still can not believe that I am the mother of a Middle Schooler. It seems like yesterday, I received “the call from the adoption agency with the amazing news I was going to be a mother”  I can not believe I went from getting no sleep in those few months, worrying every day I was going to eff up this little baby’s life to my daughter walking home from school by herself.

It’s hard to believe but looking back on the terrible twos, those years were a holiday compared to the pressures of raising a middle schooler.  So I guess we are going to the abyss, navigating the next few years together. I don’t often ask for prayers, but seriously pray for us. It’s not going to be easy.

What was your greatest fear when your child hit middle school?
