Mother’s Day is certainly a special day and now that my daughter is older she wants to make it special for me. She has planned a special dinner of Filet Mignon and her own macaroni and cheese recipe. She asked me if I wanted to go the Metropolitan Museum for Mother’s Day. Seriously, since when do 11 year olds ask to go to a museum? Uh, Never!! I actually said, no. As much as I do want to go to the Met, I actually want to just relax and head to the movies to see an adult movie (not that kind and no action pictures although I want to see Captain America again and Spiderman 2 is on my must see list) but a bonafide movie with an adult story line.
I am sure you are thinking how sad going to the movie alone but I have been going to movies alone since I can remember. Going to the movies alone for me is about being entertained and getting some peace and quiet which all I want this Mother’s Day.
