Happy 11th Birthday Celebration at Max Brenner New York #NYC

April 9, 2014 by NYCSingleMom Filed Under: Food and Drink

Call it a chocolate-themed birthday celebration for my daughter’s 11th birthday celebration with her 2 BFF’s. We started the day enjoying The Chocolate Show  Musical  and then finished it with a trip  Max Brenner’s for chocolate fondue.

This was our first trip to the chocolate emporium. We ordered the Classic European Fondue which comes with your choice of two chocolate sauces (milk, dark or white) and included dippable bananas, strawberries, chocolate chunk cookies, marshmallows and fluffy chocolate sponge cake. Let me just say that this was such a hit with the girls.

And just a heads up, that one order is not enough so be prepared to order more than one round of dippable food. I will say that I was thinking that I would be charged $22 per order but it’s only an extra $4.95 for the fondue dippables (is that word).

I only wish we could have just ordered the  marshmallows because as you can imagine, who doesn’t like roasting marshmallows over an open flame in a restaurant or should I say trying to get the biggest flame.

As if having chocolate fondue was not enough, the girls ordered 80’s Milkshake (some milk chocolate ganache, vanilla ice cream and a crunchy chocolate shell concoction) that was a hit. I loved that they came in these cool looking glasses called Alice cup (named after guess who?)

There were so many more dessert items on the menu that I am looking forward to going back and trying some other items and not to be remiss in mentioning, there is an entire food menu that would perfect for an outing with friends, family or kids.

The most important thing you need to know is, do not plan to go unless you have a reservation. On the Saturday afternoon we went, the wait for a table was 2 hours. Yikes.

Can I simply just say what a relief to discover a person that really understands what they’re talking
about on the web. You actually realize how to bring
a problem to light and make it important. A lot more people need to check this out and understand this side
of the story. I was surprised you’re not more popular because
    you definitely possess the gift.
