This week, I had the distinct pleasure of attending an event celebrating the Heart Gallery NYC’s efforts to help foster children find loving forever families. Heart Gallery NYC is a non-profit organization that connects renowned celebrity photographers with children in foster care. The photographers take incredibly beautiful photos of kids who just want to find a home to call their own.
The organization is dedicated to bringing about awareness of about children living in foster care and more importantly encourages New Yorkers to make a difference in the kid’s lives.
This event obviously spoke to me because my daughter is adopted and I so believe that every child deserves a loving and supportive family. The pictures are just touching and truly capture something pure and simple within each child. If I had the space, I would definitely consider adopting again.
The exhibit is currently showing at Penn Station Amtrak Rotunda and runs through November 18. If you are in Penn Station, take a moment out of your busy day to view the exhibit. Undoubtedly, the photos will touch your heart.
Maybe you might not be ready to adopt a child, but know someone who is interested or is at the minimum contemplating adopting.
ACS and Heart Gallery will available to answer questions from prospective adoptive parents.
