Joining the Private Plane Club

October 13, 2010 by NYCSingleMom Filed Under: Single Mom Daily Life

I don’t know about you but one of my dreams is to fly on a private plane. I have come close a couple of times but alas fell through at the last minute.

A few years ago, companies saw a gap in the luxury plane market, people who could not afford to buy a G5 but would be willing to pay a membership fee to fly private and thus the fractional private membership business model was born. As anyone flies and knows the nonsense you have to deal with, if I had that kind of money, I would go that route to.

That said, I was completely amused (seriously, it brought a smile to my face) to find an email from Sentient, a private jet company. God only knows what list I am on that would trigger this solicitation. Needless to say I will not be calling them with my private jet needs to get a complimentary consultation or quote.

I got the change to fly in a private jet a few years ago and wow it was nice. A photographer I knew got an assignment to shot the planes from the air so he took me with him as he rode and took pictures of the jets.
I would love to fly like that all the time.
