Our #DisneySide Celebration Party Rocked

March 2, 2014 by NYCSingleMom Filed Under: Entertainment

Disclosure: NYC Single Mom received free celebration goodies to host a Disney Side @Home Celebration, thanks to Disney Parks and  MomSelect. Opinions as always are 100% my own.

When I was chosen to host a Disney Side celebration, I was thrilled. We are Disney fans through and through. As a kid, I grew up on Disney and as an adult, I enjoyed visiting Disney World on business (now that is an experience) and certainly watching every Disney movie under the sun (Frozen may be favorite right now.)  But taking my daughter to Disney World for the first time is probably the most memorable Disney experience because I was able to see her excitement and  relive my first trip to Disneyland.  There is something magical about the Disney brand, that is incalculable and really indescribable. It’s all about having fun and letting it all wash over you so that all that is left is a smile on your face and memories that will last a life time.

Hosting the Disney Side party with my blog husband, Mitch at gaynycdad.com was the perfect idea since our mutual  friends were also Disney fans. After much preparation, I think we pulled off quite the Disney Side experience for our guests.

Disney-inspired eats and goodies

Our guests were treated to Mickey Mouse cupcakes and a favorite Disney park’s treat  Jumbo “TURKEY” legs. Okay,  they were chicken legs but it’s the #DisneySide spirit that counts, right!  Thanks to Mitch, our friends walked away with tons of Disney goodies.

Making  Disney-inspired t-shirts

Thanks to Hanes for providing our guests with t-shirts for Disney inspiration. My daughter was inspired by everyone’s favorite mouse, MICKEY MOUSE in creating her t-shirt.

Mickey Mouse Balloons

My daughter and Mitch’s son surprised us by making Mickey Mouse balloons. Talk about creative and talented and we didn’t even have to ask.
