Chatting with Ivanka Trump at Cookies for Kids’ Cancer Charity Event

December 2, 2011 by NYCSingleMom Filed Under: Entertainment

Donald Trump children, jared kushner, Ivanka Trump shoes, Ivanka Trump JewelryRecently, I met up with Ivanka Trump, businesswoman, retail estate heiress and new mom to talk about her support for  Cookies for Kids’ Cancer™,  baking, working mom guilt and  her favorite clothes for her daughter Arabella Rose. Ivanka hosted a cookie exchange event at Trump Tower in Manhattan to support Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, a non-profit that raises money for pediatric cancer research.

Admittedly,  I did expect that Ms. Trump would come with an entourage, well, she showed me. She literally showed up alone, yes, alone, said hello to us and then walked to her publicist. No stylist, no hair stylist, no one trailing behind her. Even her hello to was friendly. I have been pretty lucky that every one I have interviewed as been gracious, polite and just plain nice and Ivanka was no exception. She answered all my questions and was just too nice. She gave me kudos on being a single mom (this was before I started filming – darn) which was just lovely. And for the record, I always thought she is a beautiful woman but in person really just amazingly pretty. As you can she was a head taller than me, of course she was wearing heels and I was wearing flats. What was I thinking??

Here’s my interview with Ivanka Trump:

Damn, I can’t believe how tall Ivanka Trump is. And I bet she’s real skinny too.
