A Magical Time at Disney’s Contemporary Resort @DisneyWorld

Disney’s Contemporary Resort is truly a luxury hotel within walking distance to the Magic Kingdom Park at Disney World. This is the only hotel at Walt Disney World Resort to have the monorail pass through its main concourse making easily accessible  to Epcot Center.

What sets apart the Contemporary Resort is it’s modern feel, as you can tell from the name and it’s A-Frame Contemporary Tower in which the monorail runs through. The resort  offers numerous recreational options onsite, including its own water park, white sand beach, and marina.

 

I love that when you stay at a Disney Resort, there is always a Mickey surprise that greets you even if it’s in towel form. We were lucky to have an amazing view of the Bay that was located in the Tower Bay which you just can’t beat.

Now if you get the chance don’t miss my daughter’s favorite feature at the hotel, the 17-foot-high, curving water slide. But don’t worry not in the mood for a lot of kids sliding into the pool,  then head to Bay Pool which is for all ages but it known as the  “quiet pool.” There is also a kid’s splash fountain and cabanas for rent.

Of course, there are several restaurants from fine dining (California Grill) to buffet style with Disney characters(Chef Mickey’s), casual restaurants (Contempo Cafe) and more.

I can not express two huge benefits to staying at a Disney property. Magical Express and being able to check in advance of arriving. Calling in advance of your stay and arranging your arrival with Magical Express allows you to check your bags with the hotel picking up your bags and delivering them directly to your room. Is that not an amazing benefit and it’s FREE!  And on departure, you can check in directly with the airlines and give your bags for delivery directly to the airport. No having to deal with checking in at the airport.

And going to through My Disney Experience  to check into your hotel before you arrive is a fantastic feature. This was something I wasn’t aware of before this trip.  By checking in ahead of time, when you arrive at the hotel, they are able to get to check in quicker because you have already input your information ahead of time.
