KidzVuz Back to School Event is always a favorite event to attend because all the brands showcased are aimed at tweens. This year, not only was I excited to see what was new and different, I was able to attend the event with my sister.
If you are not familiar with KidzVuz.com, the site is a video site for kids 7-12. It is a totally safe online destination in which tweens can talk about their favorite shows, products, books and whatever else catches their fancy.
Dot and Dash Robots #makewonder
Dot and Dash robots is great for kids ages 5 to infinity combining creativity and play to teach fundamental coding skills. I really love that the robot is designed to grow with your kid. For ages 5-7, kids can control their robot drive, dress-up, play music, queue sounds, and imagine and make real any adventure you dream up. For kids 8-12, they are able to build knowledge of coding concepts and take on design challenges and use with LEGO™ bricks to make their robot into something new. And for 12+ kids, they are now able to build elaborate programs and even use their API to build apps of your own. How cool is that! makewonder.com

Hasbro Twister Moves Hip Hop Spots Electronic Dance Game
Twister Moves Hip Hop Spots Electronic Dance game is not your mama’s Twister game. The game lets you level up and master your moves while you follow the lights and keep up with the beat. This is a lot of fun for kids who are new to twister but love to mix in dance and hip hop. And your tween will love that Demi Lovato is on the box.
#MetKids
I have been taking my daughter to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, also known as the The Met since she was a toddler so we are very familiar with museum which is why I was so thrilled to learn about #MetKids. #MetKids is a new digital feature videos made for, with, and by kids. I can’t wait for her to view all the videos because I think kids are more open to learning from kids their own age rather than a stuffy, serious museum docent. Learn more about all the kids programs at The Met.
Laser Pegs
If your child loves to build things but is looking to bring it up a notch and have them light up, then definitely check out the national award winning Laser Pegs™. Each piece feeds the next piece low voltage current so it lights up! And for you LEGO families like us Laser Pegs are oh so compatible. These are so much fun and I know my daughter will love building the Laser Peg kits and I think she is going to get a kick out of lighting up her already built LEGO creations.
Thanks to Nancy and Rebecca at KidzVuz and all the sponsors for another amazing Back to School event.
And don’t forget to check out KidzVuz.com, the safe alternative to YouTube for kids, allowing kids 6 and up to make and share videos about the stuff they love. On KidzVuz, it’s easy for kids to record and post videos to the site all by themselves. Plus, the site has a team of moderators who watchevery video before it’s gets posted, and reads every comment before it goes up, to make sure nobody says or shares anything they shouldn’t.
