Jeff Koons’ Red Balloon Flower Sculpture – Wordless Wednesday

Balloon Flower Red by Jeff Koons - 7 World Trade Center

If you happen to visit the World Trade Center, don’t miss seeing the Jeff Koons’ Balloon Flower (Red)  sculpture located in 7 World Trade Center fountain park. The sculpture stands out because it’s red mirror-polished stainless steel stands in stark contrast to the surrounding buildings. For non-New Yorkers, 7 World Trade Center sits across from where the Twin Towers stood and was also destroyed on September 11. As someone who watched the Twin Towers fall and worked across the street in the World Financial Center, I love the sculpture because it stands as a symbol of renewal of the area. Jeff Koons’ Red Balloon Flower Sculpture is located at 250 Greenwich Street and bound by Greenwich, Vesey, Washington, and Barclay Streets.
