The New York Palace Hotel – The Home of Gossip Girl’s Serena van der Woodson
At a recent event for Disney Baby, I had the opportunity to check out The New York Palace Hotel located at 455 Madison Avenue in Midtown. The New York Palace Hotel is conveniently located near St. Patricks Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Saks Fifth Avenue and kid-friendly stores like Nintendo, Build-A-Bear, American Girl and LEGO.
Along with it being one of the nicest luxury hotels in the city, centrally located near tourist attractions, luxury shopping, it is the “home” of Serena van der Woodson (played by Blake Lively) from the hit CW show, Gossip Girl.
The New York Palace Hotel maybe a luxury hotel but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t cater to families as evidenced by their American Girl Place Package.
And even if you don’t stay at The New York Palace Hotel, you can dine at GILT, the hotel’s popular Michelin Two-Star restaurant headed by Executive Chef Justin Bogle. GILT is located inside the stunning Villard Mansion where vast, vaulted ceilings and 19th century design meets futuristic 21st century interior innovations of French architect Patrick Jouin and original John LaFarge paintings grace the large north and south arches of the room, one depicting music and the other depicting drama.
