Brasserie 8 1/2 Brunch Review
Brasserie 8 1/2 located at 9 W. 57th Street in the Skidmore Owings “bell-bottom” building offers the perfect blend for a relaxing and luxurious Sunday brunch; a pedigreed designed interior space with a sweeping staircase, you may recall from Sex and The City, exceptional Henri Matisse art and of course, delicious food.
My friend D makes his annual trek from Florida to visit family in Long Island, see a show and visit with us, his long time friends from b-school. I love his visits because although we only get to see each other for only what seems like a nanosecond, it as though no time has passed and we are transported to our days living in the Phoenix desert cramming for accounting and we get to try new restaurants.
Brasserie 8 1/2 while known for it’s modern French cuisine and is one of city’s most popular restaurants, it offers a fun, modern and exceptional brunch that will not be sorry you chose. I will admit it’s not cheap so save it for out of town friends or family or once a year treat yourself brunch.
