Playmobil Unveils First U.S. Exhibit at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan
From February 4 through June 5, 2011, PLAYMOBIL, creator of the iconic children’s toy will showcase and include a variety of displays focused on a selection of of PLAYMOBIL’s exciting themes at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan.
Last friday, my daughter and I went to the CMOM to see all the life-size (okay kid sized) PLAYMOBIL characters and large-scale exhibits scattered throughout the museum. What fun! We are big fans of PLAYMOBIL because it really encourages interactive and imaginative free play. We also had fun playing the scavenger hunt about the exhibits and learning more about PLAYMOBIL.
In addition, visit The Wizard of Oz, Adventures of Dora and Diego and Playworks exhibits. The Children’s Museum of Manhattan is one of our favorite museums because it truly encourages your kids to run around, play and interact on every level. I thought my daughter who is almost eight would be bored by the younger exhibits but she thoroughly enjoyed herself so it goes to show you that if you give kids a chance to engage that they can keep themselves occupied.
